EBOLA MUSIC presents a record release event for Ego Plum's new album "ANTHOLOGY OF INFECTION, VOLUME TWO."  His quirky, carnivalesque music is tonight's background for what is billed as "A celebration of human abnormality.  Edgy and disturbing performances by alternative   & subversive  artists of a unique human aesthetic".  Prepare to witness an entertainment event where the featured performers are midgets, dwarves, thalydimide babies and more.  The line-up includes: EGO PLUM with members of the EBOLA MUSIC ORCHESTRA featuring BRIDGET  (The Midget) POWERS, a spoken word performance by MICHAEL J.  ANDERSON of TWIN PEAKS fame, JEROME THE STARCHILD (a six-fingered, legless dancer), disturbed & twisted tales from PUPPETS FROM HELL featuring FUCKO THE CLOWN.  And an Art Gallery that features art of a "physically alternative" nature, plus disturbing imagery from Ebolamusic.com.  A show that truly must be seen to be believed.  Free Admission/Food & Bar!

The SubGenius Post-Apocalyptic Devival Tour 2000 &
THE EAST HOLLYWOOD SQUARES
With Rev. Ivan Stang, Chicken John, Woodpussy

Friday, May 12, 9 p.m.  The stupid and the profane collide as game show meets revival at tonight's SubGenius Devival hosted by Sacred Scribe of Bob, Reverend Ivan Stang and infamous game show impresario Chicken John emcees "The East Hollywood Squares" featuring  9 celebutantes crammed into a towering three-story, neon-illuminated replica of the original game show set.
"The SubGenius Post-Apocalyptic Devival Tour 2000," will include "The Wizard of 'Bob'," a newly designed, fully interactive performance intended to allow selected contestants to commune, through occult methods, with the legendary Founder and "Epopt" of the controversial Dallas-based Church, J.R.  "Bob" Dobbs.   A blend of hardcore theology and raucous exhibitionism, the Devival will provide cult indoctrination and instruction, and offer audience members spiritual guidance to the Post-End-Times, even as they are rudely and lewdly titillated by the goings-on.  Visiting saints of stupidity include Attaboy & Burke, Dr.  Howland Owll, and the Naked Fire Babes.  Woodpussy will close the evening with what promises to be an astoundingly unruly display of evangelistic punk filth.
Attendees are cautioned that they voluntarily assume the risk of serious spiritual or bodily injury just by showing up.
Where: The Lab, 835 S. Spring Street, downtown LA.
Cost: $7.

PET CEMETERY BINGO

Saturday,  May 27, 12 p.m.
Americans love their pets, and there’s no clearer evidence of this than the sometimes maudlin inscriptions to be found on critters’ graves.  While Cacophony has previously paid two visits to a pet cemetery in the valley, this will be our first trip south to Gardena to stroll the halcyon paths of Pet Haven.  We’ll try to find the final resting places of gangster Mickey Cohen’s celebrated bulldog Mickey Jr.  (who in life dined with his master in some of Hollywood’s most tony restaurants) and Little Joe Cartright's TV horse, Lady. Join in a game of Dead Pet Bingo, make grave rubbings, or stroll around the grounds scoping out the perfect spot for your own little darlin’ when it dies.  After Pet Haven shuts at 1pm, we’ll retire to nearby Bruddah's Hawaiian Restaurant, to share dead pet horror stories over a meal of mystery meat.  (Bruddah's menu features a number of typical Hawaiian SPAM specialties, but other sticky island delights are available.)  Please bring snapshots (or drawings) of mama’s dead little angel to share with the group, a pencil to mark your bingo card, and crayons for making grave rubbings.

Info: call Kim (323) 848-8727 or e-mail scram@bubblegum.net.
Meeting Place:   Rick' Drive In and Out, 2400 Fletcher Drive, corner of Fletcher and Riverside Drive. in Echo Park.  We  will be leaving promptly at noon, and carpooling is encouraged.
Destination:Pet-Haven Cemetery & Crematory,18300 South Figueroa, Gardena.   Bruddah's, 1033 W.  Gardena Blvd.
